Intermediate/Advanced Juniors:
Mastery Through Practice

Once students have a strong grasp on the basics we move on to more difficult techniques. This class focuses on advancing their Kempo skills, improving physical fitness, and sharpening their mental focus. Students also begin learning leadership and team work skills as they progress toward higher belts. This is where we start to focus more on grappling and sparring. Now that students have a strong grasp on the fundamentals we can hone those skills in more real life scenarios such as what to do if someone takes you down, or attacks you in various ways including weapon defense and multiple attackers. Here is where their grappling skills and sparring skills will begin to feel natural through practice and dedication and we can move on to more complex moves including submission techniques take downs and take down defense.

Take your skills to the next level in the Intermediate/Advanced class.

TEEN CLASSES
Teen classes encompass the ages 10-16 years old. In this class, our goal is to give the student a full understanding of the martial arts we teach. Through bag work, mitt work and drills, we will help to keep the student fit and healthy. The curriculum is the same as the adult curriculum. The student will learn combinations, kempos, forms (both hand and weapons), grappling and sparring. Techniques are done on each other to learn proper application of self-defense techniques. Sparring will take more of a kickboxing basis, where as in the younger ages it is based on point sparring. Grappling will introduce submissions and choke-outs. Classes run 1 hour.
